The Town of Vail will sponsor another installment in its Lunch with the Locals series on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at noon at the Grand View Room above Lionshead Welcome Center. Denyse Schrenker, Horticulturist with the Eagle County CSU Extension, will offer tips for cleaning up your yard and garden, dividing perennials, and preparing your landscaping for winter. Experts from the Town of Vail, Eagle River Watershed Council, Walking Mountains Science Center, Eagle County Conservation District, and Eagle River Water & Sanitation District will be on hand to answer questions. There will also be stickers and informational brochures available to attendees.
The town environmental sustainability team is organizing the event. For details about this and other upcoming activities, contact Pete Wadden, Watershed Health Specialist at 970-479-2144 or pwadden@vail.gov.
