The Town of Vail Police Department will be celebrating the nationwide community policing event National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 6 with two free barbeques for the Vail community. 

Vail Police personnel will cook burgers and hot dogs from 5 to 7 p.m. in two locations: the Pitkin Creek Park Condos bus stop area at 3901 Bighorn Road and Stephens Park at 2470 S. Frontage Road West.  Residents are encouraged to join the department at either location to spend the evening outside with friends and neighbors. 

Both locations will feature the opportunity to meet Vail Police officers, participate in activities for kids, see demos by Vail’s K9 officers and receive community information on preventing fraud and protecting against gear theft. Stephens Park will also feature a bounce house for kids.
