Vail Road/W. Meadow Drive Intersection 
Comcast utility work at the intersection of Vail Rd. and West Meadow Drive will occur Nov. 3 –Nov. 8.  Single lane traffic will be maintained at all times during construction hours. 816 Forest Road Entry Bridge 
Work continues on the new access road and retaining walls for the Forest Road duplexes. Approval has been granted for use of the lower lot for staging of material and equipment. Owens Residence, 272 W. Meadow Drive

Vail Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements, 846 Forest Road 
Eagle River Water & Sanitation District is upgrading infrastructure and the wastewater treatment process at their wastewater treatment facility in Vail. This project has been expanded to include new stormwater improvements, paving, and landscaping with expected completion in summer of 2025. ERWSD contact is Mark Mantua, 970-401-0822.    

Bighorn Park Playground Repairs 
Top Notch Logworks will be replacing some deteriorating logs on one of the play area structures. A portion of the play area will be fenced off from use. Expected reopening is around Nov 7. Town of Vail contact is Gregg Barrie, gbarrie@vail.gov, 970-479-2337. 

Gore Creek Dowd Junction Streambank Stabilization Project  
Phase II of the Gore Creek Streambank Stabilization project began on Sept. 9. The major stream work is complete. Restoration of the staging area started last week. The project stabilized the existing retaining wall along Gore Creek that supports the Gore Valley Trail and ERWSD’s sanitary sewer trunkline. The project contractor is Whinnery Construction. East Vail Bus Shelter Project 
The Town is adding four new bus shelters in East Vail this fall at Bighorn Park, Main Gore/Juniper, Vail Racquetball Club Townhomes on Bighorn Rd. and Columbine Rd/Bighorn Rd. Timber Ridge Village 
All work will be contained within the construction fence thru the winter months. Work includes demo of existing structures, new construction of a 302-unit multifamily complex. Roundabout Lighting Improvements, I-70 Vail Town Center Interchange  
Crews will be working on clean up and revegetation starting Monday, Nov. 4.  Electrical equipment to complete the project is still on back order from the supplier, once shipped they will be installed and the new lights will be connected and turned on. The project’s goal is to upgrade the lighting in the Vail Town Center roundabouts to meet current safety standards for both vehicles and pedestrians.
