Applications must be submitted through the Town's online customer portal. If you will be submitting electronic plans/documents for review, you will receive an invitation to upload the information directly to ProjectDox, after your application has been reviewed for completeness. If you are submitting paper plans/documents, please feel free to drop them off at the Community Development Department.

Electrical Permit
Town of Vail Electrical Permit Application. CRS 12-23-106 requires field verification of licensing & registration for all contractors performing electrical work.
Fire Permit
Town of Vail Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Permit Applications.
Expedited Permits
These permits encompasses both the Design Review Board and the Building Permit approval process. All submittal requirements are due at the time of application in order to proceed with this permit.

Permit Submittal Packet - Commercial Properties
This packet is for Commercial Properties including Multi-Family Residences. Permits are required when a structure is erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted or demolished. Any exterior work performed on a structure must first obtain Design Review Board approval prior to submitting a permit.
Permit Submittal Packet - Residential Properties
This packet is for Residential Properties including Single Family, Duplexes and Townhomes. Permits are required when a structure is erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted or demolished. Any exterior work performed on a structure must first obtain Design Review Board approval prior to submitting a permit.

Public Way Permit
Use this permit if your work will be performed in any of these areas: in the right-of-way, easements, public property, utility work needed, driveway improvements, drainage, and/or staging, parking or fencing.
Revocable Right of Way Permit
Required for all Private Improvements constructed on Public Lands (Landscape, walls, driveways, etc..)
Dewatering Permit
Required for all dewatering operations necessary to facilitate large excavations.
Soil Nail License Agreement
Standard license agreement necessary to allow temporary soil nail excavation shoring to occur within Public Lands.
Sidewalk/Streetscape & Snowmelt
Maintenance agreement required for all Public streetscape and snowmelt systems that are privately run and/or constructed.
