The Community Development Department began providing electronic plan review services in 2011 and now reviews nearly 95% of all development projects through the use of state-of-the-art software.
Development applications are submitted via our application portal vail.onlinegovt.com, projects are verified, and applicants are invited to upload their plans & documents into our ProjectDox plan review software. All projects are electronically routed to various Town departments for review and comment. Approved projects are then provided to customers electronically.
Electronic submission and plan review provides customers a more convenient and efficient development application submittal tool.
Electronic Plan Review Submittal Minimum File Requirements
- All plans must be submitted in Portable Document Format (PDF) compatible with Adobe Acrobat 7.0 or greater
- Minimum plan page size is 11" x 17"
- 2" x 2" box in upper right hand corner of all plan sheets for Town approval stamps
- Individual plan sheets submitted and named according to AIA ConDoc® System
- Complete index of submitted plans and specifications included
- Plan pages oriented so the top of the page is always at the top of the computer monitor (landscape format)
