The Town of Vail's Police and Fire departments work to ensure the safety and security of Vail's residents and guests through responsive, courteous and dedicated service.

Vail's public safety professionals are trained to help protect residents and guests from crime and reduce the incidence of structural fires through first-response medical assistance, educational programs and informational pieces.

The Vail Police and Fire Departments are backed up by the Vail Public Safety Communications Center. Located in the Vail Municipal Building, this state-of-the-art communications center is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is responsible for countywide emergency service dispatching in supporting law enforcement, emergency medical, fire, public works, transportation and other public services.
