The Town of Vail Transit Department provides free year-round bus service throughout Vail.

In fact, the town's bus service is considered to be among the largest free transportation systems in the country offering its residents and guests timely service to and from Vail Mountain and throughout town.

Vail also provides real time bus locations, arrival predictions, service alerts and crowding levels  to passengers throughout town. LED signs located through out Vail Village, Lionshead, and select bus stops in the outlying neighborhoods show arrival predictions and service alerts.
