Vail to Receive Clean Transit Grant
The Town of Vail will receive $1.8 million from the Federal Transit Administration as part of its program to improve clean transit in rural areas. The funds will go toward purchase of two battery electric buses and associated charging infrastructure and workforce training.

Fire Crews Quickly Contain Fire in Restaurant
At 6:18 p.m. on Aug. 14, Vail Fire and Emergency Services responded to a fire alarm at La Tour Restaurant in Vail Village. Crews arrived on scene in less than a minute after being dispatched as they were already in the area.

Vail Police Seeking Information on Bike Theft
At approximately 5 p.m. on Aug. 4, a grey Cannondale Habit 4 mountain bike was parked outside of Fuzzywigs Candy Store, in Vail Village. At 5:13 p.m., an unidentified subject was seen on video taking the bike and leaving the area via the covered bridge.
