Our commitment is to address crime in all categories utilizing several forms of prevention and intervention strategies, as well as links with partner agencies. These approaches include information-sharing, high visibility, intelligence-led initiatives, community-based policing measures, and high performance work teams.

The Vail PD uses data obtained from a countywide, multi-agency computer aided dispatch and records management system to direct and support its operations. Our ability to collect, retrieve and analyze real-time data helps us to respond to problems, enhance our community-policing partnership, reduce crime, increase road safety, regulate traffic, streamline operational processes, and manage resources. Our commitment to road safety includes an aggressive educational plan and widespread enforcement.
