Police Arrest Offender Responsible for Vehicle Break-ins and Burglary
From Aug. 28 through Sept. 20, the Vail Police Department responded to reports of eight vehicles that had been broken into and one residential burglary.

Town of Vail Celebrates America Recycles Day with Hard to Recycle Event Nov. 3
The Town of Vail’s celebration of America Recycles Day returns for its seventh year with a free collection event for electronics waste, batteries, tires, yard and food waste, as well as paper shredding. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3 at the Ford Park parking lot.

Police Arrest Vail Bike Theft Suspect
Detectives from the Vail Police Department identified and apprehended 46-year-old Ryan John West of Fort Collins on Oct. 10, in association with the theft of a $3,500 Canyon gravel bike which was reported stolen in Vail Village on Oct. 7.

Crews Quickly Knock Down Structure Fire Before It Can Cause Extensive Damage
At 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 10, crews from Vail Fire and Emergency Services responded to a report of smoke in a structure on Vail Valley Drive. Upon arrival, significant smoke could be seen coming from the roof. The fire was reported by a passerby who called 911.

Vail Police Requesting Assistance in Bike Theft
At 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 7, a green and black Canyon Grizl CF SL 8 bike valued at $3,500 was stolen from 292 E. Meadow Drive in Vail. The individual pictured was seen on video taking the bike and leaving the area.
