Vail is centrally located in the Rocky Mountains along Interstate 70, offering easy access to Denver (100 miles to the east). Emergency Services Dispatch (911)

Current Employment Job Description: 

Ensures community safety by receiving, analyzing & prioritizing 911 calls as well as non-emergency phone calls for Police, Fire and Medical Services. Dispatch duties include but are not limited to: performing Emergency Medical Dispatch when appropriate and giving lifesaving instructions over the phone; operating and utilizing the Computer Aided Dispatch Computer System (CAD) to prioritize calls, record incident details & identify the status and location of responders in the field; monitoring radio traffic; accessing a secure, nationwide database to look up confidential records for responders including warrant entries; sending emergency alerts to the public when needed.

Position Requirements: 

• Excellent verbal communications skills.
• Demonstrate proficient computer and typing skills.
• The ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Available to work a variety of shifts including weekends, holidays and overnights.
• Guest service, call center or emergency services related work experience preferred but not required.
• Spanish language skills are a plus!

Starting Salary Range: $26.17/hr during training then starting at $28.42/hr

Full Salary Range: $28.42 - $36.95/hr
