The Vail Police Department (VPD) consists of 28 officers, 4 full-time and 1 part-time records personnel, and one administrative assistant shared between the Vail Police Department and Vail Fire and Emergency Service.

The jurisdiction for the VPD includes the entire town of Vail, from approximately MM 172 to MM 182 on I-70 and all of the developed areas in the valley with the exception of Marriott Streamside Condos, Creekside Condos and the Savory Inn.  

The excluded roads in Vail’s jurisdiction are ALL of:
